Job Description

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: 40 per week

Job Location: UK wide

Remuneration: As a business Development Manager, you'll receive a salary of between GBP40,000 – GBP50,000, depending on experience, plus you'll benefit from a contributory pension scheme and life cover.

As Business Development Manager you'll be responsible for working in a sales team to achieve or exceed the Territory Sales Plan by applying a working knowledge of SGS service capabilities to maintain existing business, increase business in existing accounts, and identify and develop new accounts.

Key Accountabilities;

* Manage and deliver Territory Sales Plan to help ensure Company meet revenue and local contribution targets.

* React to sales enquiries within the required time frame; passing these to Regional or Project Managers where appropriate

* Maintain an awareness of market and industry trends.

* Ensure transparent and traceable sales tracking.

* Ensure full compliance with the all Company policies

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need extensive experience proactively seeking new clients in the asbestos sector, as well as existing other sectors (compliance, occupational hygiene, fire risk etc) and new sectors. In addition to this, you will need recent experience meeting the demands of customers regarding timelines and project delivery.

In addition to the above you'll also need to demonstrate the following;

* Persuading, influencing, and selling skills

* 2 years' experience within a related sector

* Appreciation of the UK asbestos market

* Professional communication skills and ability to present information in a succinct format

* Ownership and ability to drive own KPIs and targets

* Competent with computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

The following attributes would be desirable, but not essential;

* Sound financial management skills.

* Customer facing experience, such as client F2F meetings

* Sales experience within the asbestos marketplace.
