Our client is a well-known retail brand who due to their product range performing well in the current market. They are seeking a Legal Counsel/Commercial Lawyer to join their established legal team.
The role
* To provide legal support in relation to commercial contracts ranging from, IT, Digital, Consumer, Supply & Distribution
* To provide support on other legal issues that may arise such as , intellectual property, data protection and compliance matters.
* Support the delivery of training to colleagues on legal issues
* Develop standard agreements and procedures to ensure the most timely and effective legal advice required by the business.
* Support the development of junior team members.
* Monitor relevant developments in legislation and industry practice affecting the UK business and provide updates to legal team and the wider business as required.
Person Specification
* Trained/training with a leading law firm or organisation
* Proven experience in commercial contracts and able to give robust, expert advice. (6 years + PQE)
* Strong business sense and able to align commercial & legal objectives
* Confident in communicating with a range of stakeholders
