A London NHS Trust is looking to recruit an Interim Associate Director of Business Intelligence, to lead the development of an expert information service, managing three core areas: Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing and Data Quality.
This is a temporary post for a period of 4 months.
Main responsibilities of the role:
Lead the development of an expert information service that supports a timely and accurate evidence–based approach to decision making and performance management, to support the business of the Trust;
To work with the Divisions to identify key information needed to drive the service improvement agenda and feed into improvement plans to ensure the Trust improve performance against KPIs;
To ensure that all Business Intelligence reports are fit for purpose and that they highlight the performance against targets, trajectories and plans and can be used to develop policy and promote service improvement;
To lead work to ensure that the Data Warehouse has all required data feeds in place, that the data within the warehouse meets national and local data standards and that the Trust analytics and commissioning requirements are fully supported;
Work with the Divisions and services (corporate and clinical) to identify their reporting requirements internally and externally and with the Business Intelligence Team develop reports, dashboards and scorecards which help them to articulate their current performance issue.
A successful candidate will have:
Specialist knowledge gained through experience of the information agenda within the NHS, being able to analyse and present highly complex data for a Director and Board level audience;
Excellent knowledge and understanding of NHS Finance and Commissioning landscape;
An in depth understanding of the Health and Social Care agenda locally and nationally and translate that into the analysis support for commissioning as well as feeding that into the BI development plan;
In depth knowledge of Data Warehousing both from the technical aspects and the functional day to day management;
A good understanding of Information Governance regulations and requirements around NHS reporting and health care data sharing;
Excellent communication skills, and the ability to articulate and persuade others up, own and across the Trust and other stakeholder organisations.
