Finance Manager for the HertsCam Network
HertsCam is a network which provides programmes of support for teachers who want to lead change and improvement in their schools. For more detail see the 'Outline of HertsCam' document on the HertsCam Network website.
HertsCam is seeking a Finance Manager to support the work of the Trust along with being part of the Managing Group which comprises our Director and the leaders of our core programmes.
The successful candidate will be appointed to start in the new year in January 2021. They would need to work on a self–employed basis for a minimum of 24 days per annum (pro rata) and a daily rate of GBP150. This will be worked flexibly throughout the year around half day per week.
HertsCam does not have fixed premises so most of the work would be conducted at home. Attending meetings of the Managing Group (monthly) and Steering Committee (3 times a year) would be essential. Attending the HertsCam annual conference would be desirable.
The successful candidate will be an experienced finance professional ideally from an education background, but not essential and be proficient in Excel and all aspects of Microsoft Office. The candidate will need to have a flexible approach to working, be self–motivated and be well disposed towards professional collaboration.
Finance Manager Role description – principal activities
* Maintain the accounts for HertsCam using Excel
* Work with the team to produce an annual budget and three year forward plans
* Produce monthly Management Accounts and prepare and present reports for the Managing Group and Trustees
* Prepare word invoices for MEd and TLDW programmes and any other invoices as required
* Chase payments as required and ensure all income is received
* Liaise with Administrator, Programme Leaders and Director as required
* Ensure all invoices and expenses are approved and make payment via the online bank system
* Reconcile the bank monthly and ensure all receipts are received
* Attend Management Group and Trustee meetings and other meetings if required
* Complete year end and document and submit final TB to accountants
* Liaise with the accountants as and when required
