Senior Legal Counsel - Mainly Hone Working

Our client is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel / Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join their busy and growing in-house legal department. This is a varied and interesting role involving drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements.

The role will be conducted largely remotely for the foreseeable future in light of COVID 19, but as and when circumstances permit, the successful candidate will attend meetings as required, albeit it is likely that there will be a significant amount of homeworking available once offices reopen.

Based in Derby the ideal candidate will:

• Be a UK qualified solicitor with strong academics and at least 4 years PQE
• Have experience working on a range of commercial agreements and contracts including customer contracts, framework agreements, supply contracts, and other commercial contracts
• Be able to assist and help the business willingness with other legal issues - including ad hoc support on corporate matters, company secretarial and disputes as required
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a commercial / business outlook to their work

Our client envisages that candidates with between 4 - 10 years PQE will have the relevant skills / knowledge for this position, however this has been given as an approximate guide for applicants and our client is happy to consider the applications of candidates who fall outside of this PQE range but who have the relevant experience.
