My client a rapidly growing Transport and Logistics provider who are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their successful Commercial team and drive the growth of their FMCG client portfolio.

Responsibilities:
Proactively sourcing and contacting companies within the FMCG industry such as retailers, food and drink manufacturers etc
Introducing the business and their services to the relevant budget holders and decision makers
Managing your sales pipeline to maximise activity and output
Building strong relationships with new and existing clients
Arranging meetings to pitch and secure sales
Regularly meeting with and calling existing clients to ensure client retention and to secure upselling and referred opportunities
Keeping excellent up to date awareness of changes in the industry and reacting to varying demands in new sectors
Identifying target clients and working with the Commercial Management and Sales Management team to ensure the opportunity is securedSkills Required:
Previous experience within a sales / business development based role within transport, warehousing or FMCG is essential
Proven track record in delivering against sales targets
Confident to pitch to decision makers within large international businesses
Able to work well under pressure
Highly computer literate
Confident to liaise with customers at all level face to face, over the phone and emailTO APPLY:
