Our client, based in Fakenham, North Norfolk, is a growing diverse group of businesses with a turnover in the region of GBP10 million. This exciting Finance Director Designate opportunity will suit a commercial, hands–on individual who is seeking a new challenge.
Having recently acquired a new business in the hospitality sector the initial focus of the role will be to establish a fully integrated system and to set up reporting systems to enable detailed cost analysis.
The key duties and responsibilities of the role will include:
Managing the day to day finance functions across the group companies, responsible for 4 members of staff
Working closely with the directors and shareholders to provide insight and analysis
Over–view of monthly management accounts
Monitoring business performance and influencing strategy
Detailed cash–flow forecasting and budgeting
VAT across all group businesses
Preparation of statutory accounts
Develop and improve accounting systems and processes
The successful candidate will be a dynamic, proactive individual with a hands–on approach. Highly motivated with excellent communication skills and a robust, resilient personality.
Professional qualification ACCA, ACA or CIMA
IT skills including Excel and implementation of systems
Experience of working within a growing SME environment
Pro–active with a 'lead by example' management style
The ability to manage relationships internally and externally, influence and challenge
Analytical and highly commercial
