Financial Controller | London | Up to £60,000 per annum pro rata + benefits | Leisure

Based in Central London, the Financial Controller will be primarily responsible for producing monthly management information whilst implementing robust financial controls.

Financial Controller Key Responsibilities:
  • Production of monthly management accounts on Sage
  • Production of monthly dashboard report
  • Regular debtor reporting
  • Production of monthly statements to account holders
  • Annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting
  • Production of monthly cash flow forecasts and updated income and expenditure forecasts
  • Working closely with the management team on annual, quarterly and monthly renewal payments through direct debit
  • Quarterly reconciliations of deferred subscription income
  • Payroll - support for monthly processing and analysis of major cost categories. Production of P60s and P11Ds for employees
  • Pensions - producing returns and reports
  • Business partner - being able to act as a sounding board for all matters financial and a full member of the senior management team functions business
  • Insurance – assist with the annual renewals and any claims
  • HMRC - production of quarterly VAT reports and returns for monthly PAYE/NIC and quarterly CT61 for loan notes
  • Control of Purchase ledger including payments to suppliers
  • Bank mandate - maintaining the bank mandates, including online payment controls and generally acting as account administrator
  • Staff management – line manager for accounts assistant in day to day duties of banking and cash book preparation along with posting of purchase invoices and statement checking
Candidate Requirements:
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Demonstrable operational finance experience
  • Able to work flexibly 3.5 days per week from Central London office and home if necessary
  • Previous Sage and Sage Payroll experience
  • Emotionally intelligent with a problem solving approach
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders
