My client, an industry leading machinery manufacturer, are currently searching for a Project manager to join their team based in Cannock on a permanent

Role: Project Manager

Location: Cannock

Duration: Permanent

The successful Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, management, coordination, and financial control of projects, this will be from concept through to commissioning. As part of your role you will ensure that a project is completed on time and within budget, that the project's objectives are met and that the project is conducted in line with project plans and relevant regulations. You will be required to oversee the project to ensure the desired result is achieved, the most efficient resources are used and the different interests of all involved are satisfied.

Responsibilities:

* A pre–requisite is that you be experienced of managing commercially biased contracts to IChemE standards/ procedures.

* Creating and submitting a weekly/ monthly report to the Directors across all contracts.

* Maintaining and monitoring project plans, contractors, project schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures.

* Liaising closely with purchasing to help recruit contractors and or specialists and sub–contractors services ensuring contract budgets are maintained.

* Chair, facilitate, Organise, attend and participate in contract focused meetings with Customers, Directors/ stakeholders and suppliers.

* Documenting/ planning and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.

* Organising the various professional people & contractors working on a project

* Ensuring project deadlines are met and determining project changes.

* Take a lead role on the project quality standards ensuring all contract requirements are met.

* Undertaking project tasks as required, such as reviewing and producing RAMS as and where required.

* Developing project strategies.

* Ensuring projects adhere to customer–based framework requirements and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.

* Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.

* Ensure director/ stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.

* Create a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective.

* Taking a leading role in the successful completion of a project delivery timescale.

* Work closely with and support Design/ production department

* Organize and attend HAZOP studies.

* Ensuring adherence to all company policies and prevailing business regulations.

* Ensuring customer satisfaction through your interface with them.

* Supporting all departments for customers factory acceptance test.
