Do you believe that optimising finances in schools can improve outcomes for children and young people? Do you have the passion and drive to ensure that the largest to the smallest educational settings are empowered with the financial information to be even more impactful in their role?
In a world where the demands of school leadership continue to grow alongside funding pressures, your vision for value adding financial services will be flexible and impactful; evolving with the needs of school leaders.
Herts for Learning is the largest school company in the UK; a not–for–profit organisation with a big heart. We are a leading provider of school improvement and business support products and services that enable schools, academies and educational settings inside and outside of Hertfordshire to deliver great education.
Our Financial Services team offers accounting and financial management consultancy services, tailored to meet the needs of a range of educational settings. We offer bespoke advice for leaders of schools and academies to plan, manage and control financial resources to achieve strategic educational objectives and, ultimately, improve outcomes for children and young people.
We are now seeking to appoint the Head of Financial Consultancy Services. Reporting to the Director of Business Services and leading a team of 55 colleagues, you will build on the successful foundations of the service and our deep experience of providing financial consultancy services to schools and academies. You will develop our financial services offer, ensuring that we respond to the changing needs of our customers and continue to innovate and add value at a time when school budgets are under increasing pressure.
You will bring experience of managing consultancy service delivery and delivering innovation and transformation. You will be an experienced leader, able to develop high performing teams and shape a customer–centric culture. You will bring proven commercial acumen, strong financial management skills and experience of advising on a range of financial issues.
The closing date for applications is noon on 27th November 2020.
We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age
