Automation Project Manager – Up to GBP70k Basic + Car Allowance + Benefits
Perpetual Partnerships are working with a leading UK control & automation systems integrator who pride themselves on using the latest automation technologies to deliver best in class solutions enabling customers to achieve their business objectives. This is a company currently going through a rapid and structured period of growth and this position reflects their commitment to continuing this expansion.
The role:
?? To have complete project ownership from order handover to commission phase.
?? Generate quotations and specifications.
?? Review project periodically and generate reports back to relevant personnel eg. Customers, Engineering etc via Gantt etc.
?? Plan projects thoroughly via Microsoft Project or similar.
?? Work across engineering departments to determine any unforeseen added products and costings that the project will require for completion and communicate this back to relevant personnel.
?? Attend customer site regularly to ensure smooth running and efficiency of the project.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
Strong experience or knowledge in the following areas:
?? Project management within a manufacturing & automation environment.
?? Prince 2 or similar project management qualification (desirable).
?? Strong man management experience.
?? Experience dealing with customers on a day–to–day basis.
?? Effective skills in cost management, stakeholder and budget management, risk assessment and management.
Some technical knowledge of the following is desirable.
?? Drive Systems
?? PLC Software & Hardware
?? HMI/SCADA (knowledge of)
?? Communication networks associated with the above
?? Control Panel Design (knowledge of)
