Hamilton Woods Executive Search (HWES) have an amazing mandate to identify a new UK CFO due to changes within the SMT based in the Midlands. A truly first class C+ Suite opportunity, my client operates a multi-site retail, online / ecommerce and service business, funded for further growth plans and quickly becoming the market leader in their respective industry.
Reporting to a driven and successful CEO with a place on the board, this role is designed to provide strategic insight and support to an already high performing and aspirational leadership team, participating fully in the evaluation, development and delivery of strategic initiatives and capturing new opportunities, managing projects to fruition and supporting the delivery of a challenging yet realistic growth plan.
With an excellent business model and cash book this is a visible, commercial hands on role supporting every facet of finance, including the management of close relationships with the company's sales, marketing, pricing / product and online / e-commerce functions as the business utilises multiple routes to market.
You will also have very strong analytical, strategic planning and communication acumen, including an ability to be the CEO's trusted partner, in parallel with board members and other Senior Leadership teams in order to accurately influence and guide the commercial business strategy within a customer centric business.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
- A university graduate and professionally qualified (ACA) Big 4 / Top 10, board level professional with considerable post qualification experience within a Multi-Site Retail Plc.
- High aptitude for commercial finance coupled with excellent team management and demonstrative experience of being involved in managing high level relationships between the Plc Board, Investors, Operations and Finance.
- Leadership, operating as a trusted adviser to the Executive Team and teamwork skills with the entrepreneurial ability to operate and excel in a changing / rapidly growing environment
- Ability to formulate financial plans (long term and tactical) and ensure full engagement
- Gravitas and ability to influence change and build strong financial management within the business
