Business Analyst / Public Sector / 12 – 18 month contract / to GBP41,500
(Remote working due to Covid–19)
People Source Consulting are recruiting a Business Analyst for a large Public Sector organisation in the East Midlands.
They are looking to recruit an experienced Business Analyst to play a fundamental role as part of a large improvement programme. The successful applicant will join an established, but expanding team whose sole focus is to ensure that the technology, personnel and resources are in place to support 21st Century frontline emergency services.
Responsibilities
*To support organisational decision making through the use of research and analysis
*Improve the understanding of current and future demand to better inform allocation of resources and identify process improvement opportunities.
*Make evidenced based recommendations for organisational change using specific software applications, improvement techniques and fully analysed and interpreted information
*To collate data and gather information relevant to research, reviews, audits and projects using a variety of qualitative and quantitative research techniques and business applications to analyse and identify performance trends and organisational implications
*Proactively identify business change and business benefit opportunities through liaison across the organisation
*Assist in the delivery of organisation–wide training of business improvement techniques and act as a product champion to embed an evidence–based culture throughout the organisation.
Experience required
*Ability to demonstrate aptitude in understanding research, analysis and business intelligence.
*Excellent analytical skills including an understanding of basic and advanced statistical concepts and how to apply them.
*Skilled in analysis and forecasting with a proven ability to apply critical thinking to situations to analyse and interpret complex information to produce workable solutions.
*Engages and communicates effectively and fluently across the organisation and with partners. Confidence in presenting analysis to a non–technical audience.
*Knowledge of process mapping methodology (As–Is /To–Be)
*Experience in using SPSS or other statistical packages.
