As Business Development Manager you will be tasked with developing new large account business within our core Metal Laser Cutting, Folding, Fabrication and Finishing business. You will become an integral member of the sales department.
Job Description – Business Development Manager:
Key Responsibilities:
* Build new business relationships in line with the business sales strategy, achieving sales and margin targets, successfully developing new business with new clients
* Develop the large accountbusiness sales plan including reports to the board of directors to meet annual sales forecasts.
* Actively and successfully manage, the generation of leads, sales solution pitch, tender generation, negotiation and close
* In liaison with other members of the management team ensure the sales strategy remains relevant and make adjustments where necessary.
* Plan and prepare account– based plans and detailed account planning
* Input to the development of the marketing support to promote the business to target new accounts.
* Attend industry functions, conferences, exhibitions, etc as required and provide feedback on relevant market activities.
Competencies:
* A proven ability to work on your own initiative in finding and pursuing customer leads.
* Business Development, not just Sales
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and negotiation skills
* Outstanding research and strategic analysis skills
* Assisting with quoting, controlling RFI and Tenders& design programmes
* Good knowledge and understanding of Steel Laser Cutting; Fabrication; Finishing, ideally across a broad range of sectorss and, with a good technical understanding of the process.
* Ensuring Quotes/Tenders are submitted on time and to the very highbest standard.
* Represent the company in a professional manner at all times
Personal Qualities:
* Highly motivated, and driven individual who is capable of delivering increased sales awards.
* Customer relationship management with strong communication and negotiating skills and the ability to influence across organisations (internal and external).
* An ability to solve problems with experience and proven track record in decision making.
* High levels of drive and energy and acute attention to detail.
Desirable Skills & Experience: –
* Track Record of Successful Sales Growth of a business.
* An ability to communicate clearly and succinctly to customers and management.
* Have shown you are an experienced team member who is capable of operating in a highly dynamic business environment as part of a growing and diversifying enterprise.
* Have already proven your flexibility and ability to work on your own initiative in your past roles.
* Have proven technical knowledge and engineering skills around Laser Cutting, Fabrication and Finishing.
* Strong IT skills
* Experience in Construction, Engineering, Transport (Rail/Automotive), Manufacturing would be desirable
