Residential Property Lawyer

Multi office regional firm who are steeped in history require an ambitious property solicitor to join their office in Surrey.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate hands–on experience across the full range of residential property work and be confident in providing quality advice to clients in a professional and personable manner.

The role will involve:–

Being able to demonstrate detailed knowledge and technical expertise in dealing with a mixed residential property conveyancing caseload, with minimum supervision;

Experience will need to include:–

freehold and leasehold sales and purchases;

statutory lease extensions;

dealing with transfers of equity and re–mortgages following on from divorce or separation;

dealing with property sales under powers of attorney.

Being able to work independently but also with the other staff in the Team;

Being able to generate their own referrals in order to create their own client base and generate further work for other Teams and the firm;

Having worked within, or be familiar with and able to comply with, the requirements of Lexcel.

Essential Requirements

Ability to process a caseload effectively whilst sustaining a very high level of attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

Ability to build relationships with both existing and new clients and with professional connections.

A proven financial record and commercial attitude.

Excellent communication skills.

Good technical experience in residential property matters.

A willingness to support the Department in Business Development.

Strong IT skills, including the use of a case management system.

The suitable applicant for the role will be suitable for candidates with 3+ years PQE but this is a guide only and the firm will consider strong applications outside of this level.
