We put children and their families at the heart of practice, and practice at the heart of all that we do.
We have made great progress since our 2018 inspection with an ambitious improvement plan centred on our "Magnificent Seven" priorities which focus our work to deliver significant improvement right across our children and family services. From Early Help and Assessments, through to Child Protection and Corporate Parenting, we are striving to ensure vulnerable children have the best possible help, protection and care.
It's an exciting time to deploy your leadership attributes in achieving these improvements and you will need bags of enthusiasm, commitment, compassion and skill to help our services deliver the best possible outcomes for our children, families and community. We have recently completed a restructure of Children's Social Care and have a new, diverse and dynamic leadership team which you have the opportunity to join.
You will be passionate about improving life outcomes for children and their families, and driven to lead key areas of strategy such as embedding service delivery models, building a stable, permanent workforce and improving practice standards.
Lambeth is home to a vibrant and diverse community with a rich cultural heritage, particularly in Brixton and Stockwell. We work closely with our partners in the local community to build on the rich diversity of experience and culture which exists here in our work with children, families and the community.
To apply, you'll need a strong professional social work background, a commitment to working with Lambeth's diverse community and the desire to bring exciting changes to a fast–paced authority that is committed to achieving success at every level.
To apply, please complete the application form and submit your CV with a supporting statement (up to 4 sides of A4).
