An exciting opportunity to help form, develop and lead a division of one of the fastest growing businesses in it's industry sector.
PFF Group are a well–established medium sized manufacturing company based in Keighley with factories in the Northeast and Yorkshire. The company manufacture plastic packaging mainly for the food industry and have extrusion, thermoforming, injection molding, print, labeling and card wrap machines, as well as health PPE capabilities.
You will be responsible for the leadership and management of the commercial development of the health division. Identifying, developing and maximizing business opportunities primarily in the health, medical, PPE and packaging sectors. Taking responsibility for commercial activities including sales strategy, business development, pricing, key account management and external customer relations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Develop and grow sales profitably in line with business plans; taking a leading role in the preparation of sales budget and forecasts to drive sales.
* In collaboration with the MD, develop a sales strategy for the business that aligns the Health divisional growth with that of the Group strategy.
* Implements the actions and tactics to develop the Commercial Health strategy
* Responsible for the clear communication of the health commercial strategy to the wider business and team.
* Through the management of the commercial opportunities develop a strong pipeline of new sales leads and potential clients capable of delivering net growth into all sales nationally that meets the business objectives – monitoring and reporting on all commercial projects and developments.
* Maximise new business development opportunities and tender responses.
* Understand, monitor and report on all key sales drivers to deliver budget (KPI's). Measuring both individual and team performance against budget and Company objectives (where applicable)
* Carry out annual performance appraisals of team members and set goals and objectives once teams
* is in place.
* Manage and liaise with marketing dept and other professionals to implement various strategies to help increase sales.
* Ensure sales functions are performed in line with agreed internal processes
* Measure success rate for follow up of quotes and samples
* Take corrective actions as necessary to maintain high level of customer satisfaction
* Stay up to date with best practices and make recommendations to bring company in line with them.
* Participate in sales meetings and present as requested.
* Attend customer events, seminars and exhibitions as required.
* Identify new methods and opportunities for sales campaigns.
* Forecast sales targets for sales team and make sure they are met.
* Communicate and liaise with all appropriate areas of the business.
