JOB ROLE: Business AnalystJOB TYPE: InterimSALARY: up to GBP220 her dayDURATION: 12 weeksLOCATION: Remote working ( working from home)One of our private sector clients are currently seeking applications for a Business Analyst based in Dundee, the Business Analyst is an integral part of a feature team, and also a member of the wider Business Analysis community – reporting to a senior Business Analyst within Customer Technology department. The Business Analyst is generally responsible for understanding of user and business needs and supporting feature teams to visualise and deliver desired business outcomes. The role contributes to the positive change of those systems and processes from a backlog of features. They work as an integral part of the team building key relationships with peers in business and technology.The main duties are:" Act as the liaison between business and technical staff at all levels." Responsible for appropriately capturing user requirements, expectations and aspirations, ensuring that project proposals can genuinely deliver business benefit from extended or improved IT solutions and will actually be used by clinicians to help them directly improve the care of patients." Raising the awareness and understanding of the vision, capabilities and potential of IT, by understanding the business needs of stakeholders and demonstrating that the IT can help." Ensure appropriate work products are developed and techniques followed for each stage of the project lifecycle in accordance with the project methodology." Provision of constructive and authoritative support to the service through project management. This would include definition of business case and project scopes, requirements gathering, defining specifications and solutions documentation to ensuring delivery." Act as the principle advisor and a source of expertise to stakeholders and staff at various stages during the life of a project." Identify and resolve business and IT issues throughout the project lifecycle." Provision of constructive and authoritative support to the service through project management and business consultancy. This would include project specifications, costed proposals, planning and tracking for projects as required.In order to apply for this position you will have:" Degree (or equivalent experience) in computer science or related subjects." Proven extensive experience (equivalent to post graduate level) of IT business analysis, including requirements gathering and business case production, ideally within a health service or equivalent environment." Significant additional, relevant experience in project management (preferably in healthcare service)" Significant practical experience of Business Systems Analysis and Computer Systems Design." An in–depth understanding and practical experience of front–to–end application design (i.e. the graphical user interface)" Ability to find the simplest possible solution to complex business problems." Ability to translate requirements into functional specifications that are meaningful to both the users and the software developers." Demonstrable success of proposal production planning, monitoring and control of software developments." Knowledge of the issues, culture and opportunities within the company!
