We are looking for a Business Development Manager, with experience in winning new digital clients for an agency, to join our team and push the brand forward. The BDM will work directly for the CEO and alongside the Head of Marketing to find new business contacts and produce outstanding pitches to expand the companies client base. Your time will be spent building relationships with SME owners and will be split between the office, based near Manchester Airport, and on the road at client meetings. The successful candidate will ideally have experience in a digital agency, with a good knowledge of the different digital marketing channels and/or CRM systems. Ideally you will have experience dealing directly with business owners so you know how to effectively sell, in a manner which is relatable.

Main Responsibilities

* Work with the Head of Marketing to produce a sales strategy for each digital channel we offer.

• Locate potential new business deals by contacting SMEs, discovering, and exploring opportunities. • Effectively communicate the agencies key strengths to all new clients to build the brand.

• Close new business deals by effectively negotiating a price for our services. Finalise new business contracts.

• Develop relationships with the marketing and CRM teams to improve your sales approach to your clients.

• Assist in defining new business targets for increasing the client base.

• Identify new selling opportunities within the digital marketplace.

• Promote the growth of the agency throughout the entire company.

• Update the senior management team on your weekly and monthly sales progress.

• Have an up to date understanding of competitor activity within the digital agency marketplace, in order to effectively set our agency apart.

Main Skills and experience

* Minimum 3 years' Business Development/Sales experience preferably at a digital agency which provides marketing and/or CRM System support and/or development – this is preferable but not essential.

* Market knowledge of digital media and/or CRM platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics.

* Strong client relationship management and development aptitude.

* Superior presentation and excellent oral and written communication skills.

* Excellent negotiator.

* Great networking and relationship building skills.
