Business Analyst
Pertemps Scotland Ltd are working with our client in Edinburgh to recruit for a Business Analyst in the Public Sector on a temporary basis for 6 Months with potential extension.
Due to current circumstances this role will be based remotely.
D/R – GBP450 – GBP550 (Outside IR35)
Role Purpose:
An experienced Business Analyst is required to inform the design and delivery of digital services to meet the key objectives of the organisation within the Customer Facing domain.The main duties would be:
By April 26, 2021, provide structured Business Analysis capability to increase the efficiency of the dealing over whole product as part of a cross–functional agile delivery team by:
Improving the customer experience of submission
Improve the utility of the data captured
Improving the utility of the creditor information in the title record
Simplifying the operational workflow for settling applications
Automating applications, if and where possible
Support colleagues responding to customer enquiries relating to data/technology problems within the customer–facing tech stack
Maintaining an audit trail of decisions, assumptions and outstanding questions
Assist in the identification, evaluation and tracking of project benefits for the outcomes and objectives stated
Collaborate with colleagues from Product Management, Service Design and Registration to inform iterations of the domain roadmap
Support the Domain Principal Analyst, as required
Identify new process and customer opportunities
Support the development teams' Product and Agile leads in both their tactical and strategic work to help ensure the product delivery teams deliver solutions that work for customers and the organisation
Actively participate in the Organisations Business Analysis practice sharing best practice techniques and domain progress
Supporting junior staff with their development and upskilling.
Collaborate with our business change teams to identify and help remove issues that may hinder the adoption of new processes or ways of working
Work with our communication and organisational design professionals to assist in helping to reduce the impact of change
Be confident in engaging stakeholders and working with established governance forums such as the technical design authority
Collaborate with Business Analysts from other domains, when required, on overlapping deliveries.Essential
Detailed knowledge of Scottish land registration processes
Presenting and conversing on land registration concepts with domain experts
Confident facilitating detailed collaborative workshops with customers and established cross–functional teams
Collaborative mindset seeking advice and input from a wide array of stakeholders across the customer and internal ecosystem
Working knowledge of Agile approaches in the design and delivery of digital services
Ability to support decisions making process through the effective synthesis of information from a wide array of sources
Experience synthesising complex information into clear and compelling visual stories
Experience mapping stakeholders, impact, processes, and land registration value streams
Excellent collaboration, communication and teamwork skillsDesirable
A working knowledge of Business Canvas Modelling, Value Proposition Design or Wardley map techniques
Experience with prioritisation techniques such as cost of delay or similar
Familiarity or working knowledge of digital standards in government
An understanding of systems architectures in transition
Familiarity with creation of conceptual wireframes
Development of Personas, customer journeys and service blueprints
Use of Google's suite of web analytics software
Writing of user stories and formal acceptance criteria
Background in lean UX, six–sigma, system thinking approaches or similar
Formal qualification with IIBA or similar bodyBasic Disclosure Scotland Certificate alongside BPSS Security will be required if successful
