The Opportunity

Opportunity to lead the delivery of the UK Networked Land Ceptor (NLC) system for the Command & Control and Ground Communication Subsystems. The successful applicant will join a very significant programme for MBDA, which will deliver a new capability to UK armed forces, at a critical phased in its development.

The Role
The role holder will manage the delivery of additional functionality for the UK Networked Land Ceptor product, for the Command and Control (C2) Subsystem, the Threat Evaluation and Weapon Assignment (TEWA) unit and the Ground Communication Subsystem (GCS). These items comprise hardware and software and the role includes the overall system definition. The role holder will manage the remaining functional development to completion, support the qualification of the weapon system into service, and support future export campaigns for the weapon system.

NLC is a highly innovative product and programme that required the implementation of a 'rapid delivery' culture, process and methodology. The team will need to deliver the C2 subsystem, which is the heart of the weapon system; the GCS, which provides the communications network for the weapon system; and the TEWA unit that informs the higher–level planning as to NLC the capability available.
