Head of Manufacturing

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently recruiting a Head of Manufacturing to work for one of South Yorkshire's leading manufacturers specialising in high volume manufacturing.

Head of Manufacturing – Duties & Responsibilities:

–Operating at a senior level and aligned with SMT you will report to the Plant Manager and have full responsibility for manufacturing and maintenance
–Driving forward business objectives; from orders through to manufacturing of finished goods and customer fulfillment
–People Management; identifying opportunities to develop team members and high performing teams whilst managing all aspects of recruitment; retention and attendance
–Delivering across all areas of standards incl. Safety; Quality; Cost; Efficiency; Continuous Improvement and Values of the business; its employees and teams
–Proven experience in high volume manufacturing; implementing lean techniques to run an efficient operation, which will contribute to the productivity and overall output of the business
–Ability to forge strong relationships with customers; suppliers and internal areas of the business to ensure products are delivered and customer satisfaction is continuously met

–You will be an experienced Manufacturing leader who enjoys autonomy with proven skills in leading high performing teams in a fast–paced manufacturing environment
–You have experience in bespoke or complex manufacturing processes involving multiple parts/SKUs
–Degree qualified in either operations, engineering or management
–Higher Degree in Operations Management (MBA Preferred) is desirable
–Six Sigma Black Belt and or Lean Kaizen Qualified
–Proven experience; delivering against KPIs with appreciation for what excellent looks like
