Interim Project Accountant

greenwellgleeson are exclusively recruiting for a Interim Project Accountant to join a subsidiary of a Global construction business based out of Yorkshire.

The main purpose of the role is to work alongside the Project Director on an Industrial refurbishment project.

Main responsibilities include:

Reporting to the Project Director on a daily basis and accountable to and in close cooperation with the business unit finance director.
Working closely with the site based construction team to look at project cost reports and data.
Maintaining the budgeting and forecasting process across the project
Financial checking and reconciliation of invoices
Accounting and reporting all internal and inter company costs and transfers
Monitoring of project variances, including risk provisions and provide a realistic forecast final cost at every stage of the project lifecycle
Reporting of variations to contract and the potential effect on the budget, advising the PM of contingency allocation and spend.

We are looking for a Qualified Accountant with extensive Project and Contract Accounting experience. Experience of working on large scale construction projects will be advantageous.
