The Interim Director of Digital Service and Design role sits within a government organisation based in central Bristol who are embarking on an exciting 2 year digital strategy focusing on user centred design.
Description
The Interim Director of Digital Service and Design will:
Have an overarching responsibility for ensuring user centred design is present and consistent across all digital projects.
Establish, lead and develop a team who will be responsible for content design, interaction design, service design and user research.
Create content strategies, publishing schedules and workflow plans.
Define user journeys, visualise existing products and processes, highlighting inconsistencies, dependencies and pain points
Identify opportunities to improve services in a way that reduces costs, duplicated effort and failure demand, and that meets users' needs.
Profile
The successful Interim Director of Digital Service and Design will ideally have experience in:
Building services to meet the Government's Service Standard
Recruiting and leading a team of content designers, interaction designers, user researchers, service designers and accessibility consultants within agile delivery teams and understanding how those roles work together
Designing services that meet both user needs and business objectives
Designing inclusive services, for participants who are digitally excluded or have access needsJob Offer
