DWP are looking for a talented Senior Digital Project Managers to work with us on in a once–in–a–generation digital transformation.
You'll join our Technology Services team. We work collaboratively across 10 portfolio–led teams in a fast–moving environment and provide the foundations upon which DWP's digital services are developed and operate.
We make it easier, and more efficient for DWP to deliver services, and equip our colleagues with the tools and tech they need to better support DWP's 22 million service users.

You'll be excited by the prospect of working on some of the most demanding and exciting digital services in UK Government. You'll be part of a programme that will change the face of public services and have the potential to dramatically transform the future of millions of people.
As part of our Digital Project Management community you will manage the end–to–end delivery of projects with high risk, high profile and significant impact to DWP and the millions of people who access our support and services.
You're a seasoned project manager so you can deal with the nuts and bolts of managing projects, impacting plans and changes to scope and budgets.
You're not be bound by process and bureaucracy. You can deliver at pace by being flexible in approach, brave in making difficult decisions, and resilient and patient during change.
You will ensure our projects deliver value, and take a big picture view of impacts and opportunities on existing services. It's your job to identify and manage risks and minimise disruption.
We work in uniquely complex stakeholder environment so communication and collaboration is key. You'll be great at building big relationships, setting the pace and motivating others and you'll create collaborative environments that empower your team to deliver.
You're also and expert and an advocate. You'll set standards for project management best practices, lead events and have opportunities to coach and mentor more junior members of the delivery community.
You have the skills and experience to:
Manage all elements of a number of digital programmes or projects in parallel
Manage team dynamics, leading by example, demonstrating the right behaviours, and building a positive team culture.
Manage stakeholder relationships at a senior level, helping resolve risks, issues or conflicts
Actively manage change control across all projects, impacting changing plans, scope and budgets, and identifying impacts
Line manage, mentor, coach and help develop other digital project managers
Make difficult decisions and step outside bureaucracy and process
Act as an inspirational role model and an ambassador for change and best practice, as part of our project management communityDetails. Wages. Perks.
