HR Business Partner – Policy & Reward

*Local Council* *GBP250 per day* *Policy and Reward*

Our client are a Local Council based in NW London who currently require a HR Business Partner to provide timely expert HR advice and development policy and reward matters relating to both case management and change implementation.

The role:

* Provide timely expert HR advice and development policy and reward matters relating to both case management and change implementation.

* Advise on queries relating to HR policy functions and act as escalation points for HRBP/ HR Consultants / Directors for their queries.

* Support the Senior HRBP and working closely on advising and development of Policy and Rewards matters including servicing the clients with HR interventions across the organisation and when required the handling of high profile HR cases

* Arrange / Facilitate Appeals panel and provide advice as necessary.

* Arrange / Facilitate CJC and other forums/group meetings to provide advice as necessary.

* Collaborate with all the HRBP's in the review, development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

* Provide KPI's reports on ER/HR case management data and trends.

Advise Directorates Management Teams and managers relating to Policy and Reward in line with the HR service standards with particular emphasis on revising and development new policy and reward interventions.

Skills and Experience:

1. Up to date in–depth working knowledge and understanding of the principles and application of employment legislation and case law, European directives, best practice and employment tribunal procedures

1. Up to date in–depth working knowledge of Reward, Compensation and Benefits issues surfacing and trending within local authorities and the respective professions and how this affects the council services.

1. Good working knowledge on HR policies and procedures, in particular in the revision and development the policies focusing on impactful, practical and adopting best practice within local authorities.

1. Clear understanding in the current thinking about people leadership, people management and organisational change

1. Comprehensive understanding of the practical application and contribution of effective performance management systems

1. Good knowledge and understanding of equality and diversity issues and their relation with employment policies and practices

1. Knowledge, awareness and understanding of the public sector, including understanding the key drivers for change

1. Sound experience of delivering a quality, proactive and customer–focussed HR advisory and consultancy service in a local authority education setting

1. Experience of successfully supporting change programmes, , working collaboratively with representative groups and other stakeholders on complex HR issues including TUPE

1. Experience of building and managing relationships with clients departments managers and trade unions, providing expert advice, conducting meaningful and effective consultation and conflict resolution.

1. Sound experience of delivering a quality, proactive and customer–focussed HR advisory and consultancy service in a local authority education setting

1. Experience of successfully supporting change programmes, working collaboratively with representative groups and other stakeholders on complex HR issues including TUPE

1. Experience of risk assessment and management
