A very successful and fast growing retail business based in Hertfordshire is recruiting for a Financial Controller reporting to the Finance Director and managing a team.
The Financial Controller role has broad and varied responsibilities. This role will involve managing the daily activities of the finance team and lead process and control improvements. This includes financial and management accounting; responsibility for P&L, Balance Sheet review and Cash Flow. The role will also be accountable for tax and VAT, treasury activity and liaise with auditors, bank and other outside parties. You will demonstrate the ability to deliver insightful reporting and analysis to guide commercial decision making and drive performance. You will work with senior colleagues in the business, including various ad hoc strategic projects.
The successful Financial Controller candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar) and show ability to lead a finance function. The successful candidate must have retail or consumer experience. Team management experience will be important.
