A well-known fast-growth VC-Backed Food and Beverage business is recruiting a Financial Controller. This role is based in Central London.
This is a newly created role, leading and developing a team of responsible for the delivery of Group Accounts and Management Accounts. The work will be varied and challenging, due to the stage of the business. Key tasks you and your team will perform include: delivery of Group and management accounts; assist CFO with due diligence process during financing activity; ownership of the balance sheet; managing all AP / AR / Credit Control and commercial terms with suppliers, and involvement in VAT and other tax matters. You will drive to improve system and process efficiency and reduce spend; review internal monthly reporting packages; oversee production of statutory accounts; and various ad-hoc projects.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with a strong technical background who can demonstrate the ability to do an FC role in a fast growth, start-up, multisite environment. You will possess strong attention to detail and accuracy with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
