Our client, a global business, require a Finance Analyst to join their team on an interim bases for 3 months. The responsibilities of the role will include but not be limited to:
The successful candidate will:
- Provide analysis and interpretation of the business area results, using monthly reporting packs to support the business to deliver the results.
- Establish and maintain a strong financial control and reporting environment, complying with Accounting Policies, IFRS, and where applicable local GAAP to ensure business risks are minimised and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and controls to ensure compliance and minimise risk.
- Review and manage the business area cashflow to report on variances and work with the Treasury function and business units to constantly refine and improve cashflow reporting.
- Review all balance sheet accounts, working with business area, central Finance functions and IT, provide support and direction to ensure transactions are understood and correctly recorded with monthly reconciliations, and that the balance sheet is in line with IFRS and where applicable local GAAP.
- Support department improvement projects as required (e. RL implementation and SAC roll-out) to improve processes across the team.
The successful candidate will:
- Be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent
- Have strong technical knowledge
- Prior experience of SAP is an advantage
- Strong communications skills will be essential for this role
