DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this role is to manage our newly formed Strategic Partnerships & Innovation team, responsible for Partnering with our ExCo members and their operational areas to:
* Understand the business strategy for each core function, identifying the key problem statements and gaps to be resolved through change
* Generate ideas, scoping opportunities, identifying high level solutions to support their needs
* Help the business to solve problems using technology to help our customers enjoy amazing technology
* Develop well thought out and prioritised roadmaps of change for each ExCo area, aligned to wider business and functional strategies
* Support initiative scoping, including creating well thought out business cases (including financial and non–financial benefits) as well as high level costs and resourcing needs
* Feed–in new strategic ideas into the new demand process and handing off into the relevant Head of Deliver to see through into implementation. Working closely with business owners and product managers.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage the overall relationship between Technology and our ExCo, ensuring that the Technology function delivers outstanding value through the identification and shaping of required initiatives to support the business. Embracing customer first, digitally enabled.
* Owning the high level holistic view of the end to end Technology and change roadmap of potential change, ensuring that there are synergies in terms of technology direction
* Ensuring that the overall roadmap of change proposed is consumable and deliverable for our business, working closely with the portfolio office to feed in demand
* Ensure that the latest market, industry & technology trends, ideas and initiatives are taking into consideration when definition the Dixons Carphone roadmap of change
* Support annual planning and budgeting processes through the scoping and prioritisation of change initiative's
* Regular Exco and Board level engagement will be required
* Manage the expectations of our ExCo members, facilitating its thinking and ensuring that strategic requirements are realistic and aligned with the future direction and supporting the prioritisation of projects and business needs, understanding constraints within Technology and the business
* Create the long term Technology and change demand roadmap
* Support Architecture, providing input into high level requirements and solution shaping
* Support the costing, estimating and options analysis for new Technology requirements and contribute to the Business Case
* Support the shaping and facilitating of initiatives through the 'new demand' process and hand off into delivery and product management
* Manage the relationship with the business (aligned to business area) for the quality of services provided, reporting back to the business regularly on the performance of Technology against the corresponding metrics. Also act as an escalation point for service issues.
* Support the review of resources required for programmes/projects and ensure that resources are allocated sensibly across all projects to ensure delivery

Experience

It is important that the person in role has experience of performing a similar role within a major FTSE 250 organisation or comparable organisation, or has experience of delivering the requirements of this role across multiple clients as a member of a top tier professional services (consulting) firm.
Ideally the candidate also has significant experience in scoping and delivering Technology change programmes, ideally within a Retail environment
