Technical Programme Manager

The InfoSec Programme Manager will have overarching responsibility for the delivery of the InfoSec transformation programme, ensuring that all projects are delivered to time and to budget. Successful delivery includes the transition of programme objectives into BAU activity and may require the implementation and tuning of supporting security technologies. Reporting to the CISO, this role is key element in the successful delivery of DCG's InfoSec strategy to increase maturity and reduce the business risk exposure.

Key Responsibilities

??? Lead and deliver the security transformation programme across DCG from project initiation through to go–live, ensuring effective transition of projects to business–as–usual operational teams.
??? Proactive identification and management of dependencies and potential roadblocks to ensure smooth delivery to project timelines.
??? Programme delivery using a combination of Waterfall (strategic) and Agile (tactical) methodologies.
??? Management and ownership of a defined budget in line with programme requirements.
??? Identification, assessment and management of risks and issues that may impact the success of the programme, ensuring escalation occurs to senior management where necessary.
??? Ensure strong project governance is in place with appropriate scoping, planning, reporting and resource management.
??? Be the first escalation point for any project level issues.
??? Develop and document programme and project approach, including initiation, strategy & operational guidelines.
??? Transparent and consistent communication with the programme stakeholders
??? Build strong relationships across the organisation to support a collaborative approach to achieving programme goals, including internal teams, third party suppliers and managed services partners.
??? Ensure programme objectives and outcomes are consistently appraised in line with IT and business strategies.
Ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met in the delivery of the programmes. Liaise with compliance managers where necessary to embed requirements into project work streams.

Skills & Experience Required

??? Demonstrable and valuable experience as a programme manager within complex organisations delivering large scale transformational change using multiple vendors.
??? Ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders and related expectations.
??? Experience in applying quality management principles and processes, risk assessment and management principles and processes.
??? Experience of managing programme budgets, including annual budget exercises and defining related operating plans.
??? Ability to discuss and translate technical requirements to non–technical stakeholders, including C–level executives.
??? Experience of vendor selection processes, contract negotiations and management.
??? SME with extensive understanding of project management principles and the delivery and integration of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
??? Previous experience in Telecommunications or Retail industries is preferred but not required.
??? Familiarity with NIST Cyber Security Framework ISF SOGP, PCI–DSS, ISO27001 and GDPR requirements is beneficial.
??? Ability to take effective and informed decisions independently
