An exciting position has become available for a Business Development Manager with our client in London.

Our client is a reputable waste management service provider.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be involved in developing and delivering new profitable logistics contracts for the company. Your performance will be measured against the targets that are set for you on a monthly and quarterly basis.

Role and Responsibilities:

To manage existing contracts to ensure high service levels are maintained and all opportunities are developed to increase the contract value.
To proactively seek and develop profitable new business and to achieve business targets.
Manage your existing territory ensuring future contract phases are tendered for and the business is won.
Report site visit activity and cold calls.
To produce and present weekly, monthly and quarterly personal performance to Head of Sales and Account Management when required.
To participate and contribute at weekly and monthly sales meetings.
Ensure the company maintain the highest levels of service in line with our customers' expectations.
To manage your allocated Key Accounts and ensure the relevant Account Management Plans are written and consistently updated.
To build and maintain robust working relationships via planned account review meetings whilst balancing the customers' requirements.
To conduct yourself with the professional standards expected with customers and colleagues.
To carry out any other reasonable job–related tasks / management requests.This position is a full–time role and will be based in north west London.

Skills and Requirements:

Advanced level of Microsoft Office skills.
Ideally have previous exposure to the Construction/Waste Management industry.
At least 3 years' experience in a business development/sales capacity within the construction industry.
Be self–motivated with an analytical mind and a keen eye for detail.
Ambitious dynamic go getter with a real can–do attitude.
Confident communicator, both verbal and written.
