We are running an exclusive search for a Head of Cyber Research and Development - Cyber Labs Manager

This is a leadership role to support the cyber practice line of business covering security, intelligence and governance, risk and compliance. This management role will be responsible for all professional services activities within cyber labs.. You will also be responsible for Cyber Labs research initiatives, presenting at conferences as well as being a known authority within the industry.

You will be working within an industry-leading team of cyber security consultants providing research for major clients, both blue chip and in the government sector.

The role will act as a brand ambassador including:

  • Media engagement
  • Talks at conference
  • New CVE reporting against hardware and software
  • White papers on cyber trends, products, new threats and CVEs
  • Community out reach
  • Partnership with other research with organisations

As a business unit you will be able to produce your own service and products for clients in the future around:

  • Education and board cyber immersion programmes
  • Product or hardware testing for potential clients
  • Research for existing clients
  • Malware reverse engineering as a service

The Cyber Labs/Cyber Research business will support the lines of business through:

  • Collection Intelligence from across the customer set
  • Incidence response lab
  • Maintaining the red team platform and toolset
  • Helping with thought leadership around capabilities through proof of concepts of new technologies

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Thought leadership through publications, common vulnerability exposure research and speaking at media engagements
  • Development of a service portfolio for the lab that will deliver a revenue stream and product testing capability
  • Defining, prioritising and leading multiple Cyber research and development projects
  • Building a long-term Cyber Security research and development road-map
  • Identifying key Security trends and its potential business impact
  • Oversee lab management and red team and incident response kit development and maintenance
  • Leading a team of cyber researchers and black hats
