Location: working from home and Rushden, Northamptonshire

We are a growing and successful business and need a strong recruiter and manager to help drive forward our talent acquisition strategy. We still have a long way to go to deliver our strategy so there is plenty of opportunity to grow within this role.

Job responsibilities

In this exciting opportunity you'll partner with senior stakeholders and leaders across our Construction and Specialist Services business streams. Report directly to the Head of Talent Acquisition you'll lead a team of senior recruiters and recruiters to deliver a proactive, centralised in–house recruitment service. You'll develop the strong reputation of the Talent Acquisition team and ensure all candidates receive a positive experience. You'll lead on developing and deploying different strategies to increase direct hiring outcomes and build talent pools. Developing an in–depth understanding of your aligned business streams will be critical in order to analyse and present key analytics and insights to support decision making and drive improvements. Building our employer brand is an important aspect of this role as well as taking the lead and being involved with delivering different projects to help deliver our strategy.

What do we need from you?

We are looking for an experienced recruitment specialist/leader, ideally with both agency and in–house experience. If you are familiar with our sector then this will be a bonus. It is also important that you are a natural leader of people and have experience of both managing and developing a team. In addition, we are also looking for:

Strong stakeholder relationship and influencing skills to establish credibility

A strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into resourcing plans

A strong mind–set for continuous improvement and meeting or exceeding customer expectations

Good understanding of employment law as it relates to recruitment and selection

Management, coaching and mentoring skills and leads by example

Assertive with the ability to build strong networks and is naturally commercially minded

Adapts well to an ever–changing landscape, demonstrates resilience, flexibility and energy
