Our client, a SAAS/PAAS Healthcare provider and high–growth start–up, seek to appoint a Chief Commercial Strategy Officer. The role could be remote based remotely in the UK but flexibility to relocate to Northern Europe would be preferred. The responsibility for this role covers EMEA so if unable to relocate, then there would be considerable travel involved as the business continues to expand.
Reporting to the CEO, the CCSO will be leading the development of the strategy including business models, translating the strategy into commercial best practices, and will be central part of the senior management team. The successful candidate will be required to lead the commercial function to ensure success by implementing business strategies and plans.
Responsibilities:
* Manager sales budgets and deliver commercial KPI's
* Define how to maximise value creation
* Define strategic goals and business models
* Identify and approach key potential customers together with the KAM organisation
* Lead tender processes and negotiations
* Lead tender processes and negotiations
* Retain customer and develop existing / current business
* Develop and implement a product packaging and pricing strategy
* Ensure high qualify delivery and minimum churn
* Coach and develop the commercial team / organisation
* Working closely with the CEO, be responsible for the organisation's commercial success across EMEA
Background and Experience
The successful candidate will have solid experience from the creation of strategy and business models, having previously led international commercial sales operations, within tech/digital, life science/healthcare software and /or SAAS/PAAS. The following functional background is also desirable:
* Senior Commercial and Strategic Competence
* An entrepreneurial mindset with a high degree of energy and passion with relevant experience and ability to create business results and value
* Experience from: Digital Software UK, Product Packaging and Portfolio Management, Project Management, International Expansion, Leading Sales Negotiations, Tendering, Building long–term commercial strategies and converting into mid/short–term action plans, Qualitative roll–out/implementation of plans, leading managers and senior experts/co–workers, Management team work
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Experience from scaling and launching B2B SAAS products internationally, B2C experience would be a plus
* Prior experience from other verticals and regulated/traditional industries such as healthcare, banking/insurance, legal, local/central government would be a benefit
* Experience from strategic merger/sales of a SAAS company would be beneficial
* Fluent in other English (other language skills would be a bonus)
