Business Development Manager (BUILT ENVIRONMENT –TEST & INSPECTION – UK NORTH)

(HOME–BASED IN UK NORTH)

A new vacancy for a Business Development Manager with leading UK provider of test & inspection services to the Construction industry. Home–based anywhere in the northern half of the UK the Business Development Manager will be responsible for supporting the growth of the company by identifying, qualifying and securing NEW BUSINESS.

Candidates will ideally come from a TEST & INSPECTION/BUILT ENVIRONMENT background and will have at least 5yrs experience in a business development role selling into the UK CONSTRUCTION sector (esp. manufacturers of BUILDING PRODUCTS and MATERIALS). The successful candidate will be a tenacious and energetic self–starter with strong networking & negotiation skills and real desire to win new business. He/she will also be able to demonstrate a familiarity with the construction SUPPLY CHAIN and the ability to assimilate complex engineering concepts. This will be an excellent opportunity for a top–flight business development professional to join a well–established company with ambitious plans for growth over the next five years.

Key requirements:

– A background in both TEST & INSPECTION and the BUILT ENVIRONMENT (or related).

– At least 5yrs experience in a high–level business development role selling into the UK Construction sector.

– Familiarity with CONSTRUCTION SUPPLY CHAIN.

– Ability to assimilate complex engineering concepts.

– Graduate with degree in technical discipline.
