Our client requires a Head of Health & Safety who will be responsible for delivering a Health & safety function across the organisation.

Our client is a public sector body in Bristol.
Description
Managing a small team of Health & Safety professionals, the Head of Health & Safety will be directly responsible for overseeing the delivery of this function across the organisation. This will include:
Working closely with senior management to develop, promote and advise on HSE policies and processes
Ensuring compliance in line with statutory requirements
Leading on key HSE issues
Drafting and developing strategies and policies
Leading on incident investigations and providing comprehensive follow up reports
Acting as a true Health & Safety expert and helping other staff and stakeholders to interpret health & safety legislationProfile
To be considered for this role we are looking for applications from health & safety professionals who have previously managed a health & safety team ideally within a public sector organisation.
You will be expected to be be degree qualified or equivalent and hold a NEBOSH National Diploma or equivalent.
The majority of your HSE experience will have been gained from outside of a construction based role.
Job Offer
A salary of circa GBP50,000 – GBP55,000 is on offer dependant on experience
