We currently have an opportunity for a Specialist Advisor: Wales Land Management to join a highly reputable organization on a fixed term contract basis (18 months).
The main purpose of the role is lead on the provision of technical support assessments and advice to deliver the Goals of Wales Land Management Forum and it's supporting groups.
Duties include:
–Prepare and provide technical support and advice, drawing on a range of complex information and data sources and programme outputs.
–Manage the preparation of material and guidance documents
–Manage the development of effective sector engagement, to deliver procedures, tools and guidance and lead the delivery of new ways of working.
–Liaise with external stakeholders such as Welsh Government, sector representatives and partners to ensure the timely and effective delivery of project, policy or strategy obligations.
–Advise on evidence gaps and project manage agreed evidence projects, in line with the agreed evidence programme.
–Support engagement with sectors, partners, WG Land Owners and Managers, and other Environment bodies in the UK; and be the lead point of contact for customer and stakeholder queries.
–Maintain knowledge of the assigned sectors identifying the implications of legislative, technology and market changes.
–Contribute to task and finish groups, commissioned through the Business Boards and the Wales Land Management Forum and its sub–groups, to prepare defined products as required.
–Collaborate with the Team Leader to develop and deliver an agreed Personal Development Plan.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
–Skilled within Stakeholder engagement
–Budget Management Skills
–Admin support (organising meetings and writing minutes)
–Preparing technical documents
–Previous project management experience
This role will be primarily office based but will entail travel between different sites working at partner organisations and other premises, as well as field visits.
Due to Covid19 this role is currently home based.
