Business Development Manager – Accessible Washrooms
Job Title: Project Sales Manager – Accessible Washrooms
Industry Sector: Accessible Washrooms, Washroom Design, Grad Rails & Fittings, Main Contractors, Plumbing Contractors, FF&E Installation Contractors, Specialist Adapted Bathroom Sub Contractors, M&E Contractors, Contract Plumbers & Heating Merchants and Builders Merchants
Area to be covered: East of England (Newcastle down to North London)
Remuneration: GBP50,000–GBP55,000 + Uncapped Commission
Benefits: Fully expensed Car & Benefits package
The role of the Business Development Manager – Accessible Washrooms will involve:
* Field sales position, selling our clients manufactured range of functional and practical adapted bathroom equipment and accessories (products such as grab rails, showering, accessible washroom equipment and washroom accessories)
* Targeting the hotel/hospitality and commercial office sectors
* New business project led/ specification breaker role
* Winning projects where our client has not been specified as the accessible washroom provider of choice
* 50% of your time focussed on main contractors
* 25% of time with specialist sub contractors such as: plumbing & heating contractors, M&E contractors, specialist adapted bathroom contractors and FF&E installer contractors
* 25% managing contract plumbing & heating merchants and builders merchants (approx 100 of these nationally, high concentration in the South East)
* Project sizes from GBP10,000–GBP100,000 (average order value GBP20,000)
* Inheriting an area with a turnover of circa GBP850,000
* Tasked with growing the area to GBP1.2m
* Conducting up to six video calls per day (approx 5 with contractors, 1 with contract merchants)
The ideal applicant will be a Business Development Manager – Accessible Washrooms with:
* Must be a project driven new business sales person, not someone expecting repeat orders
* A proven field sales track record with main contractors or specialist sub contractors and contract plumbing & heating merchants/ builders merchants
* Contacts with specialist sub contractors such as: plumbing & heating contractors, M&E contractors, specialist adapted bathroom contractors and FF&E installer contractors would be advantageous
* Previous market experience within either hotels/ hospitality or commercial office projects
* Bathroom product knowledge may be useful, but our client is open to other KBB and interior products such as showering, flooring etc.
* An attitude of embracing technology
* On the up in career
* Self starter, comfortable in a small company environment
* Money motivated, not a 9 to 5 mentality
* Strong work ethic and integrity
