Excellent opportunity for an experienced hands-on Finance Controller / Consultant to whip the financial processes and systems into shape for this busy and entrepreneurial eCommerce technology business. This new role may appeal to contract finance consultants, candidates who need / want to work around life commitments or someone part-retired who still wants to add value. Experience of eCommerce and marketplace business is highly advantageous.
Role Info:
Part-Time Finance Controller – Strategy / Planning 1 day per week £1000 per month (£65,000 pro rata)
This is not a bookkeeping role; we have that covered. We are looking for financial control, accounting, and reporting expertise who can help the business grow and best organise it's affairs with HMRC.
We believe the duties will involve:
+ Ensuring all finance activity & reporting is completed on time + Interfacing with Bookkeeper and Accountant (they will do all the VAT, payroll and end of year statutory accounts work) + Work with Owner / Director to establish how data is managed and submitted to Accountants e.g. retail data from marketplaces + Ensuring the accounts and financial data is structured so the business can generate the right kinds of reports to support key decisions + Manage relationships with HMRC, Banks, etc
About You:
+ Strategic financial manager + Experienced managing HMRC – negotiations, etc + Understands the requirements of a growing SME such as cash-flow and other financial aspects + Preferable to have an understanding of Marginal VAT. + Not fazed by high volume eCommerce transactions
