MANAGING DIRECTOR
Hands Free Computing is established as the market leader in the supply of assistive technology, training and coaching for people with disabilities, including those with neuro–diversities such as dyslexia, in the workplace. The solutions that we provide enable people's abilities to flourish creating a more productive and equitable workplace. Having received EU grants to develop new and technologically advanced global products to which we own the IP, we are now ready to launch these products and expand our offerings to our existing client base and beyond.
We are therefore searching for a Managing Director to take responsibility for the operational and strategic side of the business to take the company from its current GBP3.3m turnover to GBP10m by the end of 2023.
The successful candidate should share the mission and ethos of the company and feel equally passionate in expanding the availability of products, training, and services on a global scale. You should be a motivational and strategic leader, possibly with a commercial background, who will offer expertise to enable maximum business growth whilst maintaining the high level of customer service for which the company is known. The primary responsibilities of the role will:
Develop and implement strategies to promote business growth;
Encourage and oversee the design of new technologies;
Have a clear vision and understanding of how best to maximise commercial opportunities.
Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and relevant authorities.
Predict and analyse market challenges, providing solutions to ensure company growth.
Oversee and liaise closely with the management team, providing guidance and support as required;
Report to the CEO and board regarding the planning and performance of the business.
It is anticipated the successful candidate will:
Have a minimum of 3 years in a Directorial or Senior Management role.
Demonstrate a passion for innovation within the assistive technologies field;
Have an appreciation and empathy towards the needs of people with disabilities;
Be an effective and decisive leader to direct, coach and mentor the management team;
Be an effective communicator with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills;
Have outstanding analytical and problem–solving abilities.
