My client is a great firm – top 500 – with a modern culture and working approach and an outstanding client reputation.
The team need a new Head of Employment Law with solid experience above to cover a wide and varied caseload. Please note with the national set up of the firm you will not just be handling local cases but will receive referrals from other offices nationwide.
You will report and be a support to the National Head of Employment Law.
We are looking for someone exceptional who has the character to lead and build a team. You will be a natural nurturer of talent – motivating and inspiring. In turn your career prospects will supported. A leader by example with a hands–on approach.
You will determine how the department is structured and recruit the people to make this happen.
Day to day the role will be
Run and developing your own caseload
Providing advice to clients on a wide variety of employment law issues
Drafting documents such as contracts, settlement agreements, policies, procedures, and handbooks
Taking and drafting witness statements
Analysing and evaluating evidence of cases
Conducting pre–hearing reviews
Undertaking research
Conducting advocacy
Liaison with clients and others such as barristers
Representing Clients at Tribunals
Developing your Team
Developing business
Promoting the firm's fixed price employment law retainer
Delivering presentations and seminars
You will have a natural flair for marketing and business development and as the business builds the rewards will be there to reflect your success.
