Data/Business Analyst/Data Business Analyst/BA
Our client, a well–known media company is looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a specific focus on data projects. This BA will be crucial in helping to gather initial requirements to develop a fresh big data strategy across all areas of the business, allowing the organisation to become completely data–focused moving forwards. This will mean understanding business deliverables to work with the architecture team to build a business case for the proposed solution.
Essential Experience:
5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst focused on data
Worked with business facing Data and BI teams to deliver KPI's and metrics that drive key business insights and decisions
Experience of working on Data projects from the outset/ requirement gathering stage
Detailed analytical abilities focused on content consumption and Customer interaction patterns and frequencies
Can help with realistic estimation and planning for delivery
Can help evolving a data strategy with the business
Strong stakeholder management skills
Understanding of Data Analytics practices
Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, concepts, and best practices (e.g. ODS, Data Mart, Data Lakes)Desirable Experience:
Understand the path to effective AI and Machine Learning and how it can be used to solve business problems
Experience working on Data Architectures for multiple organisations that will be able to advise on the best way of solving a variety of problems
Experience working in media, publishing, or related industries
