Financial Controller required for a Financial Services company based in Berkshire!

GBP65,000 - GBP68,000 plus car + package

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to join a successful Financial Services company in Berkshire. This role is ideal for a Qualified accountant with Financial Services experience from a dynamic and technical Matrix organisation. The position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the finance function and monthly financial reporting. Additionally, the role is responsible for Statutory reporting, AP/AR function, Financial Planning and Budgeting.

To successfully deliver in the position, you will need to have:

• ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified with 5 years + PQE
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team
• Strong systems experience ideally in SAP/TM1
• Experience of Tax compliance and detailed knowledge of IFRS
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to work in a Matrix organisation
• Ability to examine, understand and summarise complex problems, subjects or information, attention to detail
• Ability to identify risks and opportunities to help the business

A little more information about the role:

• Oversee the preparation and reporting of the company management and financial accounts
• Review and approve of accounting reconciliations
• Ensure all Financial monthly reports are completed on time and perform constant review to ensure still fit of purpose
• Budget preparation and working with cost centre managers to identify anomalies
• Develop the accounting systems to improve efficiency's and meaningful analysis
• Manage the companies Tax affairs and ensure the accounting function is SOX compliant
• Motivate and manage a small Finance team
