We are one the largest Trusts in the North East of England with a workforce of almost 10,000. We provide community, acute and tertiary services to 1.5 million people in the Tees Valley, North Yorkshire and beyond area, with a particular expertise in heart disease, trauma, neurosciences, renal services, cancer services and spinal injuries. We are a Regional Major Trauma Centre.

We are now seeking to appoint an outstanding Chief Nurse to join us as a key member of the Trust Board and Executive Leadership team. With a commitment to the delivery of outstanding patient care, the role is accountable for the overall clinical leadership of nursing, midwifery and allied health professionals. Reporting to our CEO Sue Page, you will be a credible and inspirational leader within the Trust, across our ICS and within the region. You will create a culture of patient centred care by empowering staff, promoting personal accountability within the workforce and, in an environment of continual improvement, increasing patient outcomes and quality measures.

With a CQC action plan and a road map to Outstanding for the executive team to deliver, you will ensure both a consistent nursing approach and long–term sustainable change across the Trust.

The role is both fast–paced and challenging, and it provides the opportunity for an inclusive and compassionate leader to establish their reputation in the pursuit of improving patient outcomes for the communities we serve.
