The Role:
As Chief Financial Officer, you will oversee and develop the finance function across the UK, Ireland & Benelux regions whilst delivering wholesale improvements to the financial operations of the business. You will partner with, and support the Chief Executive Officer and be responsible for compliance across all local finance requirements including local reporting, legal and tax requirements, through to planning and delivering performance improvement projects with a focus on innovation and building first–class, senior–level relationships with customers both internally and across Power & Utility customers.

* Support the Chief Executive Officer in fulfilling his key responsibilities.
* Responsible for compliance with all applicable local fiduciary finance requirements and oversees compliance with local statutory GAAP, local reporting, legal and tax requirements, with support provided by the internal organisations, Global Business Services (GBS) and Centres of Expertise.
* Supports Corporate as required in developing financial and tax strategies and acquisitions, due diligence and negotiations at country level.
* Represents the Joint Venture locally, or organizes representation by another local Finance leader/expert (focusing on external representation, including for e.g. local authorities, multi–lateral organizations, banks) and actively manages partnerships and external stakeholders within the sphere of Finance.
* Build strong and productive relationships across key stakeholder groups including utility customers.
* Plan and deliver performance improvement across the finance function with a focus on innovation. Play a leading role driving change across the wider business.
* Maintains relations with external auditors and communicates their local findings and recommendations to the appropriate organisation fore mediation.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* International experience, with a strong appreciation of major engineering o projects
* Credible and successful track record leading a Finance function within a large scale and complex infrastructure business (e.g. energy, utilities, construction/contracting, transportation, pharmaceuticals or process industry)
* Sound knowledge of financial reporting under GAAP and/or IFRS
* Proven track record developing high performing Finance teams in a regulated asset infrastructure environment including leading change
* Experience leading the production of consolidated budgets, forecasts and other financial information in a regulated environment
* Proven ability to drive Finance business partnering and add value across the business at the most senior level.
* Can present complex financial information and influence at Board level
