Senior Litigation Solicitor/Head of Department
A dynamic, forward thinking Regional law firm with City offices are currently expanding their Litigation department and are seeking a Senior Litigation Solicitor to head up an existing team of Litigation Lawyers. Working with an excellent team of experienced Litigators, and supported by Legal Secretaries/Administrators and modern IT systems, you will be at the forefront of something really special!
The successful Senior Litigation Solicitor will be responsible for a range of duties including (but not limited to):
Managing your own case load of Commercial and Civil Litigation matters
Leading a growing team of Fee Earners and Support Staff
Business development/marketing activities
Training and development of junior members of staff
Involvement in day to day activities
Involvement in growth of department (interviews etc.)The successful Senior Litigation Solicitor will offer the following skill set/background:
At least 7 years PQE – established within a well respected local or City law firm
Strong technical knowledge in a range of litigious matters – both commercial and civil
A proven track record of marketing/business development
Ideally a following (not essential as quality case load is available for new employee – i.e. this is not a "cold start")
Excellent communication skills
Experience of leading and/or developing others within your team
A strong track record of hitting/exceeding team and/or individual targetsThe successful Senior Litigation Solicitor will join a fun, friendly and growing organisation where there are excellent opportunities for progression (including Partnership).
