Project Manager - Real Estate - Glasgow - GBP400 a day - Outside IR35 - 6 Month Contract
The Position:
Our client is going through an exciting period of expansion and we are looking to recruit a Project Manager to work across a number of key workstreams within our Real Estate Programme.
As a Global Delivery Office Project Manager, you will apply your skills and experience to support the Programme Manager and Workstream Leads in the day to day delivery of workstreams at a business level through the Project life cycle.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct and coordinate activities to manage and execute workstream deliverables
- Lead workstream teams to determine business requirements and translate requirements into plans
- Ensure effective, timely and appropriate solutions are developed to fulfil business requirements
- Determine, monitor, review and report on workstream attributes including weekly status, costs, deliverables, plans, dependencies, risks and issues
- Support the Programme Manager and Workstream Leads to monitoring and control the program through:
- Proactively managing all programme risks and issues to ensure that they are identified and owned, and mitigation activities identified and undertaken
- Tracking programme costs against forecast
- Monitoring workstream dependencies
- Chasing and tracking open actions
- Setup up governance meetings, taking notes and actions
- Producing governance documentation
- Tracking and communicating workstream progress
- Developing a change management process
- Ensure that all workstreams:
- Monitor progress against plans
- Capture and manage risks and issues
- Identify and track dependencies
- Identify and track key decisions and approvals
- Manage and track costs against forecast
- Produce status reports
- Ensure that business and site requirements are appropriately captured, documented and prioritised in conjunction with the business; specifically related to logistics
- Equipment distribution from office to home
- Clearance of belongings from offices

- Disposal of furniture
- Assist in development of site specific logistics plans and execution
- Assist the business in production of business cases or feasibility studies
- Assist the HR workstream with the development of any business processes and site specific communication requirements
- Identify the impact that any changes will have on the business and advise on how this could be managed and communicated
- Manage change of scope and react quickly to changing demands, devising appropriate contingency plans
- Develop and maintain project plans ensuring project deliverables are implemented in the most timely & cost effective manner
- Lead & participate in worktream meetings, which are likely to be based across different global locations and time zones ensuring clear communication of progress and expectations
- Chair & participate at appropriate project governance forums
- Effectively capture & manage risks associated with your workstream & in line with the client's broader risk management approach
- Escalate & resolve issues as appropriate
- Identify & develop contingency plans to mitigate & address risks, implementing change management activities where necessary
Experience Required:
- Proven Project Manager/Project Support experience on a wide range of cross functional projects (5+years)
- Experience of supporting the delivery of large business transformation, with a proven track record of delivery
- An understanding of current business Real Estate Strategy challenges
- Knowledge of, qualifications and/or certifications in industry standard project and programme management methodologies such as MSP (Managing Successful Programme), PMP and Prince2
- Supported the successful delivery of projects using Agile/SAFE frameworks and methodologies
