Great new role with this leading South Wales firm as they are looking to hire another key individual to be a key part of their very successful, specialist non-contentious Financial Services team. Our client is a high profile firm with offices both in Cardiff and up in London and their FS work in these areas in particular reaches right across the firm's key sector strengths in insurance, pensions, wealth management, crypto-assets and the banking industry generally. Their very highly rated specialist team acts for both traditional financial services companies as well as for various fintech and insuretech businesses who are disruptors in the financial services industry and are certainly changing the game at a rapid rate. As a result there is no doubt this is a role where you will be working on cutting edge and often groundbreaking deals and regulatory matters, where there isn't a precedent or a ready answer and you are helping shape the FS landscape as it evolves. With this in mind the work suits someone who is adaptable and creative but at the same time diligent and conscientious and who can apply detailed technical skills and knowledge to a fast-paced and fast-changing area of commercial work. Every day really is different in this sort of work.

Our client realises this is a specialist area and they are willing to consider candidates from a variety of backgrounds if you have the inherent interest and passion for working in these areas and sectors. You may come from a broader regulatory role for example where you are accustomed to advising businesses on their commercial activities, or you may be working in a broad commercial role at the moment so that you have strong commercial contracts drafting skills but ideally want to specialise a lot more in your career moving forward.

Whatever your starting point the firm can offer a huge amount of support and training in their work in these areas, but this role would ideally suit a candidate with maybe at least a few years' of relevant experience who is looking for a better role with far greater career progression prospects.
