Litigation Associate

We have recently been instructed by our client, a top 50 law firm in Birmingham, in relation to an opportunity for a 3+PQE Litigation Associate/Principal Associate to join their growing team. This role presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced Litigation Solicitor who is seeking a varied and challenging role.

About the role

The Litigation Associate's workflows will include:

* Manage a caseload of claims against a wide variety of professional service providers together with insurance and reinsurance disputes. * Deal with claims and related insurance issues concerning commercial organisations such as building contractors, engineers, architects, surveyors, investment managers, insurers, fund managers and financial advisers. The coverage disputes element of the role will cover a range of insurance policies including PI, EL/PL, D&O, CAR and property. * Prepare detailed and technical reports, correspondence and court documents. * Liaise with insurer and insured clients, experts, witnesses, counsel and other parties. * Supervise junior fee earners.

About you

You will be UK qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 4 years experience in defending litigation claims. This, however, is only a guide and candidates with slightly less PQE experience will be strongly considered. You will possess a real passion for Litigation and be able to form quick relationships with both your team and clients.

** Experience of professional risk arising from lawyer liability and/or financial services liability is essential **
